The university has introduced a new selection procedure for applicants to the Bachelor's degree program. As per the Higher Education Commission recommendations (http://www.mua.go.th), applicants must complete the Ordinary National Educational Test (O-net), General Aptitude Test (GAT), Professional and Academic Aptitude Test (PAT), and submit their scores with their application. Students may also be admitted in a number of special programs such as the Chula Rural Project, National Sport Development Project, International programs, and the Direct Admission Project.

Prospective students interested in applying for a master's degree or a doctoral degree program must complete the Chulalongkorn University Test of English Proficiency (CU-TEP) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the Graduate Education Admission Test of Research (GREAT-R), and a subject test in the concentration/program applied for. Courses are offered during normal daytime hours and evenings/weekends to provide as much flexibility as possible for students to continue their studies for a graduate degree (admission requirements for certain programs may vary).
